“Love That Does No Harm”

“Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” – Romans 13:10

We often ask, “What’s the right thing to do?” But Paul simplifies it with a powerful truth: if we love like Jesus, we will always do right by others. Not a love defined by sentiment, but a love that actively seeks the good of others.

Love, Paul says, is the fulfillment of the law. It’s not a feeling—it’s a compass. It grounds us in the gospel, keeps us from drifting into selfishness, and motivates us to be more like Jesus in our daily decisions.

When love is the centerpiece of how we live out our faith, we don’t need a list of rules to follow. Instead, we follow Jesus, who loved perfectly—and that love becomes our guide.

Reflection Question:
What would change in your relationships if you asked, “What does love require of me here?”
Prayer:
Father, help me love others the way You have loved me—with patience, grace, and truth. Let Your love be what grounds me, guides me, and shapes every interaction today. Amen.
